Erica Handley joined Drescher & Malecki LLP in the summer of 2011 after receiving her MBA from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Prior to attending Canisius, she received her bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Mercyhurst College located in Erie, Pennsylvania and attended high school at Nardin Academy in Buffalo, New York.
Erica is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Government Finance Officers' Association (NYSGFOA), and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Erica lives in West Seneca, New York and in her free time enjoys practicing yoga, reading, spending time with friends and family, and attempting to keep the neighborhood deer out of her garden.
Charles joined Drescher and Malecki LLP in August of 2013 and has subsequently been promoted to manager as of January 2018. He works directly with municipalities and not-for-profit entities throughout New York State, providing both audit services and other attestation engagements.
Charles, originally from Quebec City, Canada, came to the United States in 2008 to study accounting, while simultaneously playing Division I College Baseball. He began his study of accountancy in Kansas before transferring to Canisius College in 2010. At Canisius, he completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies in accounting, earning a BS in accounting in 2012 and an MBAA in 2013. In addition, Charles completed all four parts of the CPA exam during his graduate year.
Charles resides in the City of Buffalo with his wife, Brianna and they welcomed their first son, Emmett, in January 2018. Other than his passion for baseball and his title of General Manager/team player of the D&M softball team, Charles enjoys many other sports, such as hockey, skiing, golf, tennis, and hiking, to name a few. Although Charles calls the United States home, he takes advantage of every opportunity to return to his hometown of Quebec, to spend time with family and friends.
Fun Fact – Charles drank out of the renowned Stanley Cup at the age of 8 years old.
